It is a brand new ORIGINAL RF (radio) remote control, so it needs to be paired with the device (all radio remotes need pairing). The pairing method is very simple.
EASY START UP: 1. The green LED on the control unit must be lit, indicating that the power is on. 2. Switch the control unit's slide switch to the Off (O) position. 3. Press the Reset button on the control unit for approx. 3 seconds. The green LED will start flashing rapidly, indicating that the unit is in "learning" mode. 4. Move the controller to the On (I) position – the green LED on the controller and several control LEDs will light up continuously. Press the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons (i.e., the two highest buttons) simultaneously and hold them for about 3 seconds. If successful, you will hear a short beep and the green LEDs on the controller and unit will remain lit. 5. If you do not press the UP/DOWN button within 15 seconds of pressing Reset, pairing mode will be automatically canceled. After successful pairing, check that the green LED on both devices is lit continuously – this means that communication is ready for use.
