It is a brand new ORIGINAL RF (radio) remote control, so it needs to be paired with the device (all radio remotes need pairing). The pairing method is described in the device’s user manual, or we can send you the manual by email upon request.
EASY START UP:
PAIRING the HORIZON remote with the device:
- Ensure that your Horizon device is powered on and that there is a clear path between the Horizon box and the remote control.
- Turn the remote control so that the keypad is facing up.
- Press and hold the pairing button (see the back of the remote control in the product gallery) for 10 seconds, pointing at the Horizon box.
- If pairing is successful, a successful pairing message will appear on your TV.
If it fails, press "VOL-" and hold the button; then simultaneously press the source button (top middle button). After approximately 5 seconds, the standby button on the TV will blink red twice. Now release both buttons and enter 981, which will disconnect the remote control. Start from step 1) of the PAIRING process.
You can also restore FACTORY SETTINGS in the MAIN MENU if you made a mistake. RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS allows you to reset the Horizon box to factory settings with the option to keep or delete the records stored on the Horizon box's disk.

- Turn off the Horizon box.
- Turn on your TV.
- First press the VOL- button, then the TV SOURCE button. Hold both buttons for approximately 10 seconds – until the TV ON/OFF button blinks 3 times.
- Enter the brand code for the TV using the keypad within 10 seconds.
- Point the Horizon remote at your TV and hold the TV ON/OFF button for up to 1 minute until the TV turns off. If your TV does not turn off, repeat steps 2 to 5.
- Once your TV turns off by itself, press the VOL button and the TV Source button again until the TV ON/OFF button blinks 3 times.
