The remote control supplied is already pre-programmed on buttons ▲ and ▼. You only need to register the remote control to your original receiving unit memory.
Procedure for copying the code from the original remote control:
- Press and hold the button X on General VATRONIC and then press the button ✓ 4 times.
- Release both buttons. The red indicator LED on the General VATRONIC remote will briefly flash every two seconds.
- Place the original remote control that you want to duplicate in front of or next to the General VATRONIC control.
- On the original remote control, press and hold the button that you want to duplicate. Keep it pressed on the original until the red LED on the General VATRONIC control lights up. Then release the button on the original remote control.
- After a short moment, the red indicator LED on the General VATRONIC control will flash twice (every two seconds). This alert informs the user that to successfully complete the duplication, it is necessary to transmit the source "SEED" code from the original remote control.
- 6a. Press buttons 1 and 2 on the original remote control simultaneously to send the SEED code. After pressing both buttons simultaneously, there will be a short delay before the original indicator LED lights up.
- 6b. On older original remote controls, sending the SEED code is done using a hidden button near the batteries or on the back of the remote.
- Keep the buttons to send the SEED code pressed until the LED on the General VATRONIC remote changes its blinking speed (it will blink faster) and the color of the indicator LED changes to blue.
- At this moment, press the button on the General VATRONIC control where you want to save the code. The blue LED on the remote will briefly light up and turn off. This will confirm successful saving of the code to the selected button.
- The copy has been successfully created. The General VATRONIC remote needs to be registered with the drive unit (see the manual for the drive/receiver).
How to REGISTER the new remote control into the original main unit:
- Remove the cover of the BFT drive unit. On the control board, find the display and the OK, +, and - buttons.
- Activate the MENU by pressing the OK button.
- Navigate the MENU using the +/- buttons until you reach the command "rAdIo" and confirm with the OK button. The command "Add StArt" will appear on the display.
- At the same time, press the * and ** buttons on the General GATE remote control. After 5 seconds, the General GATE remote will blink rapidly - release the buttons on the General GATE remote control.
- Confirm the command "Add StArt" on the BFT drive board by pressing the OK button, and a message "hIddEn bUtton" will appear immediately.
- The General GATE remote control is still blinking, press the * or ** button on the General GATE remote control and the command "rELEASE" will appear on the display.
- After the LED on the General GATE remote control turns off, a new command "dESIrEd BUtton" will appear.
- Here, press the same button as in step 5 on the General GATE remote control. Hold the button for about 3 seconds.
- The display should show "ok XY", which is the number of the registered remote control, and the command "Add StArt" will appear again immediately.
- To exit the BFT drive MENU, simultaneously press the +/- buttons to go back to "rAdIo".
- Repeat the same press +/- to exit the MENU.
- Now test the General GATE remote control.
