Pairing instructions and battery 9V are included.

It is necessary to pair this remote control with your control box:

Press and hold reset button on the controller box.
Turn on remote control, LED on controller box should illuminate.
Turn off remote control, LED on control box should go off.
Release RESET button on controller box.
Turn the remote control back on, units should now synchronise, you should hear the clicking of relays to confirm (LED on controller box does not illuminate).

NOTE: All the above steps must be completed within 4 seconds.
