As manufacturers of remote controls for air conditioning under our own registered brand General AIR, we offer customization and individual modification of the remote control functions according to customer wishes. This includes options such as user-selected disabling or restriction of certain functions, or fixing the MODE function solely in COOL mode.

More and more customers are reaching out to us with requests for individual modification of air conditioning remote control functions. These modifications require more time-consuming programming, as one function depends on the state (binary code) of another function and is computed from other functions. It is not a constant, as is the case, for example, with a TV IR code, so the code defining an undesired function cannot simply be deleted, as is the case with a TV remote control. Everyone wants their modification differently, and each air conditioning unit is different (there are several thousand different types of air conditioning remote controls on the market). That is why we have started offering this service as a paid option.

Please write your requests for limitations or deactivation of functions in the description of your order. Do not forget to include a contact phone number - in case of any uncertainties, we will contact you by phone for clarification. The delivery time is within 14 days.

Individual modification and customization of the remote control can be useful, for example:

1. In spaces where there are many different users, such as for air conditioning in your business, where employees can only change the temperature but cannot change the AUTO/COOL/HEAT/FAN/DEHUM modes, run the fan at full power, or activate other undesired functions that could interfere with your air conditioning settings.
2. For hotel guests, we can deactivate some or all functions, for example, in summer, setting a fixed COOL mode (cooling) and allowing them only to change the temperature, and conversely, in winter setting the remote control to be fixed in HEAT mode (heating), again allowing them only to change the temperature. Note: For this solution, you will need two remote controls, one for COOL mode and another for HEAT mode. The COOL/HEAT setting cannot be changed via the remote control due to intentional restrictions. If this is a problem, we can provide a LITE simplified software and external programmer for larger orders of remote controls, which you can use to reprogram the codes yourself for 680 CZK per piece (one for unlimited reprogramming of 1000 remote controls). 3. Limitation of the temperature setting range. For example, you don’t want employees or hotel guests to set the temperature below 22 degrees. Therefore, we will limit the temperature range to 22-30 degrees. We can set this simultaneously with the settings in points 1 and 2.

WARNING: We can only LIMIT or DEACTIVATE functions. We CANNOT add functions that the air conditioning does not standardly have.
